Delhi schools bomb threat Updates: Security beefed up across national capital

Delhi-NCR Schools Bomb Threat: Security beefed up across the national capital after over 90 schools in the Delhi-NCR area received a bomb threat call via E-mail on Wednesday morning. After getting information about bomb threats, parents of students rushed to schools to bring them home.

Delhi Police said that a total of 97 bomb threat calls/emails were received in the fire control room till 12:00 pm. The e-mail later turned out to be a hoax.

Earlier, officials along with a bomb squad and a dog squad conducted search operations in various schools that received the bomb threat. Nothing suspicious has been found so far.

The schools that received the bomb threat E-Mail include – Sanskriti School of Chanakyapuri police station area, Mother Mary School in Mayur Vihar of East Delhi, DPS School of Dwarka district, DAV School, Amity School, Pushp Vihar and Saket and Sanskriti School of New Delhi district among others.

Delhi Public School, Noida is one of the schools that received the bomb threat via E-mail. Noida police were alerted soon after the bomb threat was received via mail. A bomb squad and a dog squad are inspecting the school premises.
