Where is Raghav Chadha? Sharad Pawar camp asks days after Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest

NCP (Sharad Pawar) leader Jitendra Awhad has questioned AAP Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha’s absence in Delhi at a time when his party chief Arvind Kejriwal has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate.

Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar) leader Jitendra Awhad on Saturday questioned the absence of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha even as Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal faces extended Enforcement Directorate custody following his arrest in liquor policy case.

Notably, NCP (Sharad Pawar) and the Aam Aadmi Party are part of the Oppposition-led INDIA bloc formed to take on the BJP in the upcoming lok Sabha elections.

In a now-deleted post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Awhad asked, “Where is Raghav Chadha?”

While speaking to reporters earlier in the day, the NCP leader had pointed out the active presence of other AAP leaders such as Atishi, before asking about the conspicuously absent Raghav Chadha.

He described Chadha as a valuable asset with a commendable intellect and said his disappearance hurt AAP workers.

“All leaders of AAP are seen. Atishi and others are so active. Raghav Chadha is the face of the party and very intelligent. His disappearance hurts party workers,” Awhad said.

“Gone are the days when, being at a distance, you cannot connect with people. It is very strange that just because he is in London he cannot comment. He can make a video and send his message to the party. We are asking questions over his complete disappearance,” he added.

Chadha, Arvind Kejriwal’s “blue-eyed boy”, is currently in London with his wife Parineeti Chopra for a vitrectomy, a type of eye surgery to prevent retinal detachment.

Arvind Kejriwal is currently in Enforcement Directorate custody till April 1 after he was arrested by the probe agency in connection with the Delhi liquor policy-linked money laundering case.

The AAP supremo was arrested from his official residence in the national capital on March 21.

While the Enforcement Directorate has called Kejriwal the “kingpin of the liquor policy scam”, the Delhi Chief Minister has refuted the allegations and alleged that the probe agency was trying to crush AAP at BJP’s behest
