NEW DELHI: A tragic incident took place at Delhi’s INA metro station on Saturday evening, as a 30-year-old man ended his life by jumping in front of a moving train. The deceased has been identified as Ajitesh Singh, according to the police.

The incident occurred around 7pm when Singh jumped in front of a Samaipur Badli-bound train from platform number two, as captured by the CCTV camera footage.

The police were able to identify Singh through a call that came on his mobile phone.

The authorities swiftly responded to the incident, shifting the deceased’s body to a mortuary for further investigation and autopsy. The police are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the matter.
