INDIA JOINS ELITE GROUP WITH HYDROGEN TRAIN
The 89-km Jind-Sonipat hydrogen-powered train has been designed, engineered and integrated in India using indigenous technology. Powered by hydrogen fuel cells, it emits only water vapour, requires no overhead electrification, reduces noise and fossil fuel dependence, and features a 10-coach configuration with a 3,200 HP propulsion system.
DELHI-AMRITSAR-KATRA EXPRESSWAY AMONG KEY HIGHWAY PROJECTS
Modi will inaugurate National Highway projects worth over Rs 12,470 crore, including packages 1 to 5 of the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway, the Ambala-Kala Amb Highway, the Jind-Gohana Greenfield Highway and lay the foundation stone for the Hansi-Barwala Brownfield Highway Project.
EXPRESSWAYS TO CUT TRAVEL TIME, BOOST CONNECTIVITY
The new road projects are expected to significantly reduce travel time between Delhi, Katra and Amritsar, improve connectivity between Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Delhi-NCR, ease congestion on NH-44, lower logistics costs, and support tourism, pilgrimage and industrial growth.
ELEVATED RAIL TRACK TO EASE KURUKSHETRA TRAFFIC
The prime minister will inaugurate the Elevated Railway Track at Kurukshetra, aimed at eliminating congestion at railway crossings, improving road safety and ensuring smoother rail and road movement.
MEDICAL COLLEGES, HOSPITAL AND SIKH MUSEUM TO BE DEDICATED
Modi will dedicate Pandit Neki Ram Sharma Government Medical College in Bhiwani, Maharishi Chyawan Medical College and Rao Tula Ram Hospital at Koriawas in Narnaul to the nation. He will also lay the foundation stone of a Sikh Museum at Kurukshetra showcasing Sikh history, teachings and contributions.
After Haryana, the prime minister will visit Chandigarh to launch and inaugurate projects worth over Rs 4,700 crore and later travel to Jalandhar in Punjab to launch development works worth over Rs 5,470 crore.
